05

O&M and operations management review

One review of the O&M program and the organization that runs it: what the contracts and OEM require, who decides, how work flows and where time and money leak.

Who it’s for: Owners with a third-party O&M contract or self-perform program, especially before a renewal or re-bid, and teams growing a fleet.

Timing: 3 to 5 weeks

Engagement: Fixed fee

You get: A gap list, recommended scope, KPI and structure changes, and the first standard work to adopt

What’s included

• O&M and LTSA scope, KPIs, response times, availability terms and exclusions
• Preventive maintenance plan against OEM and warranty requirements
• Work-order flow, backlog, CMMS use and critical spares
• Org structure, roles, decision rights and on-call coverage
• Reporting cadence and the KPIs that drive decisions
• Lean review of rework and single points of failure.

Add-on: agrovoltaics and vegetation management. Solar grazing, pollinator habitat and vegetation scopes reviewed and coordinated with O&M: access, fencing, gates and water, contractor roles and permit commitments.

06

System optimization review

Finds where an operating asset is losing availability or energy, and why, then ranks the fixes by value.

Who it’s for: Operating PV and BESS assets underperforming expectations or carrying repeat failures.

Timing: 2 to 4 weeks

Engagement: Fixed fee

You get: A ranked list of losses, corrective actions with owners, and a simple tracking method

What’s included

• Availability definitions compared across contracts and reports
• Unplanned outage logs: cause, duration and lost capacity or energy
• Repeat failures, root-cause follow-through and alarm handling
• Quick wins separated from capital items.

Emergency response

Plans that work when they're needed.

Engagement models

Three ways to work together.

Fixed-fee reviews

A defined scope, a set fee and a clear deliverable. Best for reviews, assessments and emergency response plans.

Monthly retainers

Owner's representation and ongoing support, scaled to the hours and site time you need.

Hourly advisory

Targeted help on a specific question, document, bid or decision.

Pricing is set per engagement once the scope is clear. Travel for site visits is agreed up front.
